Humanity!!

One Tuesday evening, I was sitting in the visiting area of my homeopathic Doctor clinic which is located in the premises of a famous vaishnav temple in my city.

An old lady was also sitting beside me few minutes ago. I thought she was also waiting for her turn to consult the doctor like me. But she said she needed to go home and had left the premises a minute ago. I soon realized that she was gathering some energy to stand up and go to home or she was seeking some aid from me. Before I come out of her thought and divert my mind to something else, what I saw that she came back to me with tears in her eyes. My first instinct to see her back was that she might be needy and this might be another way to ask for some monatory help. And all of sudden she started uttering what was happened to her there before sometime. She said that she came to this temple after long time and when she was taking tour inside the temple she fell down and her knee got injured and started paining. So she was sitting there for sometime thinking that she will be fine in sometime. But she realised that her leg was surely injured and it was becoming difficult for her to walk so she came back towards me crying out loud.

I could make out from her talk what dilemma she was having in her mind. She sat down beside me again and dialled a number. Nobody picked it up!! I think she was knowing that her call will be unanswered. I asked her why don’t you call somebody at your home to pick you up and she said she tried calling her son who is not picking up the phone. Then I asked her to share that number with me and she shared it. I called her son from my mobile and surprisingly he picked up my phone in no time.

I asked “Is it XXXbhai? Your mother is sitting beside me. She has fallen down in the temple so she is incapable of walking and going home on her own”. And what he said was heart breaking. He said, “I am away from my house and attending an important ceremony. Tell her to take an auto rickshaw and go home. I can’t come there right now.” I said she doesn’t have enough money so she can not go home in rickshaw. He said,”tell her to reach home and somebody from my house will pay the fare” and he disconnected the call. His mother said,”he is a lawyer and very busy in his life. He will not come”.

Now the actual problem came in picture.

To be continued….

That lady was crying and reluctant to go back to home because her son and daughter in law are not kind enough to take care of her. They are busy in their own lives and doesn’t allow this lady to come out of home often. That day she escaped from home to have some me-time and so she came to visit that temple but the irony was that she got injured in that temple.

“I don’t care”

Difficult is the way

I don’t care

Put me to the test

I don’t care

I will be same as before

I will shine more n more

Try to stop me if you can

Who cares about the struggle

Your smile is my strength

I know how to deal with stress

Try and restrict my pace

But truly, I don’t care….
